It is the opposite: a crowded market with overlapping claims, immature technologies presented as combat-proven, and vendor ecosystems that have scaled faster than independent evaluation frameworks. Kinetic interceptors. Procurement officers building multi-year C-UAS strategies should plan integration pathways for directed energy effectors even where current budget cycles do not support immediate acquisition.

The regulatory dimension is also evolving. Export control frameworks for advanced C-UAS technologies — particularly EW-based defeat systems and cyber exploitation tools — remain complex and vary significantly by supplier nation.
